WILMINGTON, DE — BTCNow is launching a Bitcoin purchasing model that fixes the acquisition price upfront while allowing customers to pay over 60 months, offering an alternative to direct purchases, recurring investments and leveraged cryptocurrency products.

Under the model, customers lock in a Bitcoin purchase at the prevailing price and make fixed monthly payments over five years. The purchased Bitcoin is held in trust until the payment obligation is completed, with BitGo providing custody.

The structure separates the timing of the Bitcoin purchase from the timing of the customer’s payments. Subsequent changes in Bitcoin’s market price do not alter the original purchase price or scheduled payments.

BTCNow also distinguishes the product from leveraged trading. Customers are not subject to margin calls or forced liquidation solely because Bitcoin’s market value falls during the payment period.

That structure shifts the focus from short-term trading to financing a predetermined Bitcoin purchase over a longer period.

“BTCNow lets customers secure their Bitcoin purchase today and spread the payments over five years,” founder and Chief Executive Officer Marc Dumpff said. “The price is fixed, the payments are predictable and customers don’t have to worry about a market drop triggering a margin call or liquidation.”

The model also differs from dollar-cost averaging, in which investors make separate purchases periodically at prevailing market prices. BTCNow establishes the purchase and price at the outset and distributes payment for that transaction across 60 months.

Dumpff founded BTCNow after more than 17 years working in structured finance, fund management, financial infrastructure and international capital markets. He designed the company’s fund structure, regulatory strategy and automated capital-allocation model.

Earlier in his career, Dumpff founded a regulated investment fund in Liechtenstein under Financial Market Authority supervision. He later served as chairman of Satori Group in Hong Kong, where the company reached more than HK$1 billion in paid-up share capital within six months.
