PHILADELPHIA, PA — Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. recently hired Chris Applegate as a managing director in its Corporate Advisory and Banking team as part of an expansion of its Philadelphia office.
Applegate will advise corporate clients on strategic initiatives, including capital raising, recapitalizations, and acquisitions.
He joins from Bank of America, where he served as a senior vice president and relationship manager in the Global Commercial Banking group, working with private and public companies in the Philadelphia region.
Earlier in his career, Applegate worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, focusing on credit risk and regulatory frameworks.
Matt Levering, managing director and head of Corporate Advisory and Banking in the Mid-Atlantic, said Applegate’s experience in the regional market and client relationships will support the firm’s advisory services.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to join BBH as the firm continues its growth across the Mid-Atlantic,” Applegate said.
