PHILADELPHIA, PA — Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE: AXTA) has launched Zencore, a cabinet coating system for manufacturers in North America designed to streamline production and reduce process complexity.
The system combines primer and enamel functions into a two-step process, replacing traditional three-step coating workflows.
Axalta said the product is based on the same technology platform as its Zenamel coatings and is intended for high-volume manufacturing environments.
The company said the system is designed to improve production efficiency by reducing the number of materials and application steps.
Axalta said the coating system also aims to reduce defects and rework while maintaining durability and finish quality.
Chris Bundy, a sales manager at Axalta, said the product is intended for manufacturers focused on throughput and consistency.
The coating system is currently available in the North American market.
