RADNOR, PA — Avantor Inc. appointed Todd Garner as executive vice president and chief financial officer, ending a roughly three-month period in which Chief Accounting Officer Steve Eck had served as interim CFO.
Garner will oversee the Radnor-based company’s global finance organization, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations, and internal audit.
He joins Avantor after serving as executive vice president and CFO of CONMED Corp. from 2018 to 2026. Garner brings more than 30 years of finance, operational, and public-company leadership experience.
His appointment puts an executive with experience overseeing finance and investor relations into the CFO position as Avantor focuses on growth and shareholder value.
“Todd is a proven financial leader with deep operational expertise, a strong track record of driving growth and extensive experience partnering with boards, investors and management teams,” President and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Ligner said.
Before CONMED, Garner held several leadership positions at C. R. Bard Inc., including vice president of investor relations and division CFO.
Garner said he plans to work with Avantor’s employees and partners “to build on Avantor’s strong foundation and create long-term value for our customers and shareholders.”
Eck had served as interim CFO since June 24. He will remain senior vice president and chief accounting officer following Garner’s appointment.
Garner holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is a certified public accountant.
