NEWARK, DE — Ascensus has begun using PlanPort’s AI-enabled platform to support select operational workflows related to retirement plan document review.
The platform is designed to streamline document processing while maintaining existing review standards and quality controls.
Ascensus is using the technology to reduce time spent on repetitive review tasks and reallocate resources to other operational functions.
“PlanPort’s solution supports select operational workflows and enables our teams to spend less time on repetitive review tasks while maintaining the quality and controls our clients expect,” said Tami Evanson, senior vice president of information technology at Ascensus.
PlanPort’s platform is used to analyze retirement plan documents across plan types including 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), and defined benefit plans.
The company said its technology has been adopted by advisors, third-party administrators, and recordkeepers since its launch in March 2025.
Ascensus provides retirement plan administration and related services, supporting more than 16 million savers and overseeing more than $932 billion in assets under administration.
