FORT WASHINGTON, PA — Amtech Software added an artificial intelligence email-intake agent to its Quick Quote platform, automating the conversion of customer requests and attachments into structured quote data as corrugated packaging manufacturers seek to reduce front-office processing time.

The agent, available now, reads incoming quote requests and attachments to identify information such as dimensions, board specifications, box style and quantity. It then drafts one or multiple specification lines for review by customer-service or estimating employees.

Each extracted value carries a confidence level, while information missing from the source material is flagged rather than filled automatically. Employees remain responsible for reviewing and completing the quote.

The system targets manual transcription, a labor-intensive step that can constrain how quickly packaging plants respond to requests for pricing.

Amtech Quick Quote, or AQQ, builds on the Fort Washington-based company’s May 2026 acquisition of Clarico Systems. The application connects with Amtech’s EnCore platform, allowing master data to flow into the quoting system.

When a customer accepts a quote, the information can be written back to EnCore as a specification and quote without employees re-entering the data.

Amtech is initially making the email-intake capability available for regular slotted container, or RSC, and half-slotted container, or HSC, quoting.

“The forward-thinking plant leaders that comprise our AI Council have clearly stated their focus on measurably improving revenue, costs, and productivity,” Danna Nelson, Amtech’s senior vice president of products, said.

The email agent represents part of a broader effort by Amtech to embed AI into its software rather than require packaging manufacturers to deploy separate tools.

Amtech plans to preview additional agentic AI applications for Quick Quote and its broader software portfolio at its user conference Oct. 11-14 in Nashville, Tennessee.
