PHILADELPHIA, PA — Alterra IOS said it has acquired a portfolio of 10 truck terminal properties totaling about 45 usable acres across major U.S. industrial and logistics markets, expanding its national industrial outdoor storage footprint.
The portfolio includes 445 drive-in doors and more than 238,000 square feet of warehouse space. Nine of the 10 properties are fully leased to multinational freight carriers, the company announced.
The properties are located in 10 markets and are positioned near major highways and regional freight corridors, according to Alterra IOS.
“Our acquisition of the National Truck Terminal Portfolio enables Alterra IOS to expand in well-positioned markets within key domestic freight corridors,” said Chris White, vice president of acquisitions at Alterra IOS. He said the portfolio provides immediate scale in supply-constrained logistics markets.
The largest site is in Kennesaw, Georgia, in the Atlanta metropolitan area, with 19.59 usable acres, 151 drive-in doors and 74,000 square feet of warehouse space.
Other properties include Chester, Virginia, in the Richmond metropolitan area, with 4.75 acres and 40 drive-in doors; Wallingford, Connecticut, in the Hartford metropolitan area, with 4.25 acres and 54 drive-in doors; and Hagerstown, Maryland, in the Baltimore metropolitan area, with 4.30 acres and 28 drive-in doors.
