U.S. 30 Night Work Could Snarl Traffic Near Coatesville

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Overnight lane closures will continue next week on eastbound U.S. 30, as milling and paving operations move forward along the Coatesville Downingtown Bypass.

PennDOT said a lane closure will be in place each night between the Bailey Road overpass and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), with traffic reduced in the eastbound direction.

Drivers should plan extra time, expect delays, and consider alternate routes when traveling through Coatesville, Caln, Sadsbury, Valley, and West Caln townships overnight.

The work is part of a $9.3 million project to resurface and improve the western section of the U.S. 30 Bypass, including base repairs, new pavement overlay, rumble strips, and updated markings.
