A Busy Bucks County Route Is Closing for Days

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Commuters traveling through Bristol and Bensalem townships should prepare for detours and possible delays next week as Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge construction forces a multi-day closure of Newportville Road.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road to bypass the work zone. Local access will remain available for residents and nearby properties.

Motorists traveling near the construction area should expect backups and slower travel times throughout the week, particularly during morning and evening commutes. Plan extra time and seek alternate routes if possible.
