WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Mint is seeking additional businesses, financial institutions and coin dealers for a bulk-purchase program that will distribute select 2026 commemorative coins directly to high-volume buyers outside the Federal Reserve system.
The Circulating Bulk Purchase Program allows approved organizations to buy larger quantities of circulating dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollar coins from the Mint. Pennies and nickels are excluded.
Planned 2026 offerings include coins marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, including Emerging Liberty dimes and Enduring Liberty half dollars.
The Mint also expects to offer five Semiquincentennial quarter designs recognizing the Mayflower Compact, Revolutionary War, Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and Gettysburg Address.
President Donald J. Trump $1 coins are also listed among the anticipated 2026 products, along with Native American and American Innovation dollar coins.
The commemorative products tied to the nation’s 250th anniversary will be produced only during their designated year and will not remain part of the program after 2026, according to the Mint.
Availability will depend on the agency’s annual production schedule, demand for circulating coinage and remaining inventory. Products may sell out or be withdrawn without notice.
Coins distributed through the Federal Reserve system may also be made available through the direct-purchase program when supplies permit.
The program gives approved purchasers another channel for obtaining circulating coins in quantities intended for distribution to businesses, collectors, institutions and the public.
