WEST CHESTER, PA — Track Rabbit has added an outside-payment option that lets automotive and motorsport event organizers use its registration and management platform while collecting money through cash, Venmo, PayPal, card readers or other payment methods, lowering a barrier for smaller events that do not want integrated payment processing.
The West Chester-based platform will continue handling participant registration, communications, rosters and member management while allowing organizers to move the payment transaction outside Track Rabbit.
The change targets grassroots events such as local track days, car shows, cruise-ins and cars-and-coffee gatherings, where organizers may rely on informal or existing payment arrangements rather than merchant processing embedded in an event platform.
Organizers can determine how and when participants pay and maintain their own records of payment status. Riders and drivers will still register and manage their information through Track Rabbit.
The company will charge a small registration platform fee for the outside-payment option, with no separate pricing tier or additional setup. Track Rabbit did not specify the amount of the fee.
The feature expands the company’s addressable organizer base by separating its event-management tools from its built-in payment processing, allowing smaller operators to adopt the platform without changing how they collect money.
“This new option opens up new opportunities to those organizers to utilize everything our platform offers for tracking, collaboration, and more, while continuing to run payment exactly as they always have,” Track Rabbit Director of Operations Tori Drach said.
Organizers that use another registration provider can also list events on Track Rabbit at no charge without moving registration to the platform. Track Rabbit said it lists thousands of automotive and motorsport events each year.
