MALVERN, PA — The Institutes has been named a 2026 USA TODAY Top Workplaces award winner for the fourth consecutive year, a recognition based on employee survey results that reflects the organization’s ability to attract and retain talent in a competitive labor market.
The award is based on confidential employee feedback collected by workplace research and technology firm Energage. More than 40,500 organizations were invited to participate in the survey process, according to The Institutes.
The recognition comes as employers across industries face growing competition for skilled workers and increasing pressure to provide career development opportunities, workplace flexibility, and employee engagement initiatives.
The Institutes, a not-for-profit organization serving the risk management and insurance sector, said the award reflects employee responses related to workplace culture, leadership, collaboration, and professional development.
“Being recognized with the USA TODAY Top Workplaces award is a distinct honor, as it reflects how our employees genuinely feel about being at The Institutes,” President and Chief Executive Officer Peter L. Miller said in a statement.
Miller added that the organization’s culture has contributed to its role as an education provider for the risk management and insurance industry since 1909.
Award recipients are determined through employee responses measuring workplace experience factors that Energage identifies as indicators of organizational performance.
“Earning a USA TODAY Top Workplaces award is a testament to an organization’s credibility and commitment to a people-first culture,” Energage Chief Executive Officer Eric Rubino said. “This award, driven by real employee feedback, is more than just a recognition—it’s proof that your employees believe in the organization and its leadership.”
The Institutes said it has focused on workforce development as technological changes, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, reshape workplace skill requirements.
The organization operates through 21 affiliated business units that provide educational programs, professional development resources, and industry services related to risk management and insurance.
Founded in 1909, The Institutes is a not-for-profit organization that supports education and professional development across the insurance and risk management sectors.
