STP Investment Services, CAPIS Partner on Outsourced Trading Model

WEST CHESTER, PA & DALLAS, TX — STP Investment Services and CAPIS have formed a strategic partnership to offer an integrated outsourced model combining trade execution and investment operations support for buy-side firms.

The collaboration allows investment managers to access CAPIS’ outsourced and supplemental trading services alongside STP’s middle- and back-office operations support across the trade lifecycle.

The companies said the model is designed for firms seeking to scale operations without expanding internal trading and operations teams.

“Buy-side firms don’t want more vendors, they want integrated infrastructure,” said Jeff Hooks, senior vice president at STP Investment Services.

The partnership builds on a prior collaboration supporting a mutual investment manager, where the firms aligned trading data and operational workflows to reduce manual processes and eliminate reconciliation between separate providers.

According to the companies, the coordinated approach is intended to improve operational efficiency, streamline processing, and support business continuity.

CAPIS will provide outsourced and supplemental trading services, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives trading, as well as commission management capabilities.

STP will provide technology-enabled investment operations services, including trade settlement, reconciliation, portfolio accounting, client reporting, and compliance support through its BluePrint platform.

“We’re thrilled to partner with STP as we look to further streamline the trading lifecycle for our clients,” said Chris Hurley, senior vice president and head of institutional sales at CAPIS.
