MALVERN, PA — Rajant Health Incorporated and Videosoft Global have expanded their partnership to enhance the Cowbell platform with new “Flying Cowbell” capabilities designed to support scalable video processing in mobile and bandwidth-constrained environments.
The upgraded platform integrates Rajant Health’s distributed edge computing and mesh networking with Videosoft’s video streaming and processing technology to enable real-time video use across dynamic systems, including aerial, maritime, and ground operations.
The system allows mobile assets such as uncrewed aerial systems to function as active nodes in a distributed network, supporting workload execution, data processing, and communication across multiple domains.
The companies said the integration reduces bandwidth requirements for video transmission by up to 10 to 50 times compared to conventional methods, while maintaining low-latency performance for real-time situational awareness.
The platform is designed to operate under conditions where connectivity may be limited or disrupted, using distributed processing and adaptive data routing to maintain operational continuity.
Potential applications include intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations, autonomous system coordination, maritime security, and disaster response.
The joint system is built to integrate with existing sensors, cameras, and command systems and supports deployment across various platforms, with open interfaces for further development.
