Rajant Secures NSA Approval for Classified Defense Networks

MALVERN, PA — Rajant Corporation has secured National Security Agency certification for its Platinum 100 Cryptographic Subsystem to protect classified information through the SECRET level, clearing a key security requirement for the company’s communications technology in U.S. and allied military operations.

The certification covers the PT-100 subsystem and its embedded Wolverine Cryptographic Module, expanding the Malvern-based company’s ability to supply encrypted communications equipment for defense and national-security applications.

Rajant said the PT-100 will be incorporated into its Eagle Secure Network Radio system as an upgrade to the Integrated Fires Mission Command Huntsman LX4-SAB radio.

The Eagle system is designed for global deployment as part of the Armed Forces Counter-Rocket, Artillery and Mortar Warning system, which supports military operations facing rocket, artillery and mortar threats.

The communications equipment can operate in fixed installations, mobile platforms and remote environments, where maintaining secure connections is critical to military coordination.

NSA certification establishes that the PT-100 can protect the confidentiality of information classified through SECRET when operated under applicable security procedures and requirements.

The approval also confirms that the Wolverine Cryptographic Module was included in the evaluation of the certified subsystem.

Rajant said the technology can be released to designated U.S. allies, including NATO partners, Australia and Canada, potentially expanding its use in multinational defense operations.

“This capability is releasable to key U.S. allies, including NATO partners, Australia and Canada, strengthening our ability to support secure coalition operations,” said Ed Preston, president of military and government markets at Rajant.

The PT-100 development effort is sponsored by the Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office, linking the company’s secure communications technology to military programs addressing unmanned aircraft threats.

The certification strengthens Rajant’s position in defense communications markets where equipment must satisfy federal security requirements before handling classified information.

Rajant develops networking and communications systems, including its Kinetic Mesh technology, for applications requiring connectivity across changing operational environments.

The company also cited experience among its defense leadership supporting intelligence, signals intelligence and cybersecurity missions involving the NSA, U.S. Cyber Command and the Cyber National Mission Force.

The new certification applies specifically to the PT-100 subsystem and its evaluated cryptographic components, rather than providing a blanket security approval for Rajant’s broader product portfolio.
