MALVERN, PA — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) recently introduced 16 ultrafast rectifiers in a new low-profile DFN6546A package designed for commercial, industrial, and automotive applications.
The 200-volt devices offer current ratings ranging from 6 amps to 15 amps and are available in both commercial and AEC-Q101 qualified automotive-grade versions.
The company said the new package measures 6.5 mm by 4.6 mm with a typical height of 0.88 mm, allowing for reduced space requirements on printed circuit boards.
Compared with similar components in the SMPC (TO-277A) package, the devices have a lower profile and support higher current ratings.
The rectifiers are designed for use in applications including power converters, inverters, LED lighting, and automotive systems such as engine control units, advanced driver assistance systems, and battery management systems.
Vishay said the devices operate across a temperature range of minus 55 degrees Celsius to 175 degrees Celsius and are designed to reduce power loss through low forward voltage drop and fast recovery characteristics.
The components also feature wettable flanks for automated optical inspection during manufacturing and are compliant with industry standards for moisture sensitivity and environmental requirements.
