WEST CHESTER, PA — In a strategic move that significantly bolsters its position in the healthcare marketing sector, Supreme Group, supported by the private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners, announced its acquisition of Health+Commerce. This recent acquisition marks an important step in Supreme Group’s ambitious expansion within the highly competitive healthcare commercialization arena.
Founded in 2012 by Sheldon Zhai, Supreme Optimization emerged as a digital agency powerhouse, specializing in a broad spectrum of performance digital marketing services tailored for the life sciences industry. Its offerings span paid advertising, SEO, content marketing, analytics, and website development services. The formation of Supreme Group followed Trinity Hunt’s majority stake investment, aiming to create a comprehensive healthcare commercialization platform. Health+Commerce represents Supreme Group’s second significant acquisition after bringing Clarity Quest, a health IT marketing agency, into its fold.
Tom Donnelly, CEO of Supreme Group, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting Health+Commerce’s commendable track record in delivering strategic marketing and public relations programs across the medtech, biotech, and digital health sectors. “We’re thrilled to welcome Health+Commerce to the Supreme Group family of companies,” Donnelly said. He emphasized the potential for supporting Health+Commerce’s continued growth and expanding its reach within the multi-billion-dollar healthcare industries.
Health+Commerce, renowned for its integrated agency services, will maintain its operational autonomy and brand identity within the Supreme Group ecosystem. Nicole Osmer, the agency’s founder and CEO, will assume the role of president, ensuring continuity in leadership and vision. Osmer highlighted the synergies between Health+Commerce and Supreme Group, pointing to enhanced service offerings, additional resources, and new growth avenues for employees as key benefits of the merger.
The partnership is backed by Trinity Hunt Partners, a private equity firm with a focus on nurturing leading healthcare and business services-oriented companies. Mike Steindorf, a partner at Trinity Hunt, underscored the strategic alignment with Supreme Group’s vision, aiming to forge a leading life sciences marketing and communications powerhouse. He expressed confidence in the collective potential of Supreme Optimization, Clarity Quest, and now Health+Commerce under Donnelly’s leadership.
The acquisition was facilitated by Bryan, Garnier & Co, with Pierre-Georges (PG) Roy and Michael Tuller leading the advisory team for Health+Commerce.
This consolidation highlights a growing trend in the healthcare marketing sector, where companies increasingly seek to offer a full suite of services spanning digital and traditional marketing channels. For industry watchers, the Supreme Group’s expansion signals not only the increasing value of specialized marketing services in the healthcare field but also the potential for further consolidations as firms strive to meet the complex demands of this rapidly evolving market.
