MALVERN, PA — The Insurance Accounting and Systems Association has appointed BMS Re executive Kristine Weber as chair of its Advisory Board for the 2026–2027 term, placing a longtime volunteer in a leadership role as the organization continues to expand professional development and member engagement initiatives across the insurance industry.
Weber’s term began July 1 and runs through June 30, 2027, the association announced.
As advisory board chair, Weber will work with IASA Executive Director Kim Nicholl-Keane and board members to help guide the organization’s strategic direction, with priorities that include strengthening member engagement, education and industry collaboration.
Weber serves as executive vice president of client account management at BMS Re, where she leads a team supporting more than 300 insurance companies and managing general agent clients. Her responsibilities include overseeing client service operations, onboarding initiatives and coordination between the firm’s U.S. and London operations.
She brings more than two decades of experience in risk management, insurance and reinsurance, including expertise in reinsurance brokerage operations, professional liability, medical malpractice, systems transformation and operational analytics.
Weber has been active with IASA for more than 10 years, serving in multiple volunteer leadership positions before joining the advisory board in 2022.
In outlining her priorities for the coming year, Weber adopted the theme “Unwritten,” emphasizing professional growth and leadership development across the insurance sector.
“Our industry is evolving rapidly, and with that change comes opportunity: the opportunity to learn, lead differently, and shape what comes next for ourselves, our organizations, and our industry,” Weber stated.
The association said Weber plans to encourage greater participation from members by promoting leadership opportunities, idea sharing and professional development throughout her one-year term.
