WAYNE, PA — Hartford Funds announced that Chief Financial Officer Greg Frost will become the new President on January 1, 2025. He will succeed Jim Davey, who is stepping down after a 14-year tenure.
Frost has served as Hartford Funds’ CFO since 2012. Davey expressed confidence in his successor. “Working closely with Greg for over a decade, I have seen firsthand his commitment to Hartford Funds and our stakeholders,” said Davey. “He has been a trusted partner and advisor, and I know the firm is in excellent hands under his leadership.”
During Davey’s presidency, Hartford Funds experienced steady growth. The company doubled its mutual fund assets under management and earnings. Davey expanded investment capabilities and diversified the firm’s product offerings. Notable achievements include acquiring Lattice Strategies and forming a strategic sub-advisory relationship with Schroders in 2016. He also spearheaded the development of numerous products, including ETFs, SMAs, and private equity options.
As CFO, Frost managed finance, technology, and operations. He worked closely with Davey and the leadership team to drive the company’s goals. Before joining Hartford Funds, Frost spent nearly 15 years at Janus Capital, now known as Janus Henderson Investors, where he held several roles, including CFO.
Christopher Swift, Chairman and CEO of The Hartford, praised both leaders. “I am deeply grateful for Jim’s leadership and significant contributions to Hartford Funds,” Swift said. “Greg has been an instrumental part of our growth and success. This transition reflects a strategic succession plan that has been in place for several years. I have full confidence in Greg’s leadership and commitment to the firm and its clients.”
Frost acknowledged Davey’s impact. “For 14 years, Jim has been steadfast in his commitment to Hartford Funds, our clients, and our partners,” said Frost. “I am proud of all we have accomplished together and am grateful for the opportunity to lead Hartford Funds into the next chapter of growth.”
The leadership change marks a new era for Hartford Funds, aiming to build on its legacy while continuing to innovate and expand its offerings.
