Facet Life Sciences Adds Commercial Executive to Expand Advisory Services

Facet Life Sciences

WAYNE, PA — Facet Life Sciences has appointed biopharmaceutical industry veteran Frank A. Closurdo as vice president of commercial services, a move aimed at expanding the firm’s ability to help emerging biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies align product development with commercialization strategies.

The appointment comes as smaller life sciences companies face increasing pressure to demonstrate both regulatory viability and market potential earlier in the development process.

Facet said Closurdo brings more than 20 years of experience across biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare marketing, including work involving product launches, acquisitions, licensing transactions, and commercial strategy development.

In his new role, Closurdo will focus on integrating commercial planning into earlier stages of product development, working alongside the firm’s regulatory advisory teams to align clinical, regulatory, and market considerations.

“Commercial strategy” must be incorporated earlier in development to maximize product value and improve the likelihood of successful product adoption, Closurdo’s role is intended to support that objective, according to the company.

Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman Ken VanLuvanee said Closurdo’s experience advising life sciences companies and bringing products to market strengthens the firm’s service offerings for emerging biotechnology clients.

Facet Life Sciences provides regulatory, development, and commercialization consulting services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
