The trails explore a variety of habitats including forests, fields, and wetlands. The park is a popular place for birding and offers rentals such as Rowboats, Canoes, Kayaks, Paddleboards, and Sailboats for boating enthusiasts. When it comes to fishing, the common species are Largemouth bass, Channel catfish, Black crappie, and Panfish. Hunting is also permitted in the park with common game species such as rabbits, squirrels, pheasant, waterfowl, and deer. There are 13 miles of trails for mountain biking enthusiasts.
