KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Downtown Kennett Square is preparing for an afternoon filled with wine, music, creativity, and community connection as Kennett Summerfest returns for its fifth year this June.

The popular street festival will once again transform South Broad Street into an open-air celebration featuring curated wineries, artisan vendors, hands-on art projects, live entertainment, and an expanded experience designed to welcome both wine lovers and non-drinkers alike.

Hosted by Kennett Collaborative, the event takes place Sunday, June 14, with proceeds supporting local community programming throughout Kennett Square.

Sips From Across the Region

Festivalgoers can enjoy unlimited tastings from a wide selection of regional wineries, cideries, and meaderies, including Penns Woods Winery, Chadds Ford Winery, Harvest Ridge Winery, Wayvine Wine & Vineyard, Elder’s Cut Meadery, and many more.

VIP guests will also have access to an exclusive reception featuring catered pairings from Sweet Amelia’s chefs Zack and Karessa Hathaway, along with early festival entry and access to an air-conditioned gathering space.

A Bigger Focus on Non-Alcoholic Options

One of the biggest additions this year is an enhanced non-alcoholic experience designed to create a more inclusive event atmosphere.

Local entrepreneur Jacqueline Burnham will debut Nectar & Co., her new online non-alcoholic marketplace, during the festival with a curated lineup of dealcoholized wines and zero-proof cocktails.

“Whether you’re pacing or replacing, I believe everyone deserves a great drink in hand,” Burnham said.

Festival organizers say the expanded NA options reflect growing interest in sophisticated alcohol-free beverages while ensuring all attendees can enjoy the event experience.

Interactive Art Takes Center Stage

Beyond the drinks, Summerfest will feature immersive art experiences throughout the festival grounds.

Guests can stop by an interactive glitter bar and crafting station hosted by Calabrese Arts or contribute to a collaborative mural project led by local artist Val Steur. Using VR-guided mapping technology, attendees will help paint sections of a large community mural throughout the afternoon.

More than 20 artisan vendors will also line the street, offering handmade goods, jewelry, ceramics, flower crowns, and other locally crafted items.

For those looking to dive deeper into the culinary side of the festival, attendees can also add limited-space chocolate and cheese workshops to their admission.
