CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — Fresh-pressed cider, the rumble of historic milling equipment, and live music will welcome autumn to Chester Springs as the Mill at Anselma opens its grounds for a day celebrating the harvest season and the community gathered around one of Chester County’s historic landmarks.
The Mill at Anselma Preservation and Educational Trust will host its fourth annual Cider Fest on Sept. 26, bringing together traditional demonstrations, local vendors, musicians, and family activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors can sample fresh apple cider from a local farm while seeing historic milling and bread-baking demonstrations that connect the fall harvest to the work once performed at the Mill.
Artisan vendors will be on site throughout the festival, while the Blue Belles and Lenape Brass Band will provide live music during the day.
Families will find a full schedule of children’s games and activities. Local first responders will also bring vehicles and equipment to the Mill, giving children an opportunity to meet them and get an up-close look at the tools they use.
