OJR High School Announces Valedictorian and Salutatorian for Graduating Class of 2026

POTTSTOWN, PA — Owen J. Roberts (OJR) High School announced that senior Alejandro Vidal is the valedictorian of the graduating class of 2026 and that Sohum Bandyopadhyay is this year’s salutatorian. The announcement is the latest in a series of milestone moments both students have enjoyed during the 2025-2026 school year.

This past fall, Alejandro was one of 11 OJR High School seniors named as Commended Students in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. As part of the distinction, Alejandro placed among the top five percent of all students who entered the 2026 Merit Program. After graduation he plans to pursue his degree in engineering and eventually pursue a career in the industry. Similarly, Sohum was previously named a Semifinalist in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. The program honors students who meet exceptional academic ability standards and other requirements. He plans to study engineering at university, before pursuing a career in electrical engineering and starting his own firm. OJR High School’s graduating class of 2026 includes more than 440 students. This year’s graduation ceremony will take place on Friday, June 5, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
