EXTON, PA — Put on your lab coats and scrubs! It’s the final days of registration for Summer Career Academies presented by the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) and the county’s finest educators and employers.
New this year: A week-long Hospitality & Tourism Excursion Camp for high school students ages 14 to 17 to experience emerging career opportunities firsthand by touring some of Greater Philadelphia’s top destinations. Students will go behind the scenes at Longwood Gardens, cruise around the city on the Spirit of Philadelphia, and check out one of the area’s leading collegiate hospitality programs.
In addition, children ages 10 to 16 will discover what it’s like to be a surgeon, nurse, pediatrician, veterinarian, forensic scientist, biomedical engineer and more when they enroll in Summer Career Academies focused on STEM and healthcare. Filled with fun, hands-on activities where you can learn to dissect, analyze, research and design, CCEDC’s Summer Career Academies run Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm, throughout the month of July. Limited partial scholarships are available for students who qualify. More information and enrollment can be found at https://steminnovationpa.org/summeracademies/.
