EXTON, PA — From launching a first business to planning an eventual exit, Chester County entrepreneurs will have a chance to put their questions directly to local business experts during a free program at the Chester County Library this month.
“Better in Business: Chester County Business Resources and Services” will bring representatives from four business, economic development and entrepreneurial support organizations together Monday, Oct. 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Chester County Library & District Center in Exton.
The program is designed for people at different stages of the business life cycle, including prospective entrepreneurs considering a new venture, established business owners looking for ways to grow and owners seeking guidance on selling or retiring from a business.
A guided panel discussion will introduce attendees to resources and services available through participating organizations and explain how those programs can assist local businesses. An audience question-and-answer session will follow, allowing participants to ask about issues specific to their own businesses or entrepreneurial plans.
The morning will also include opportunities for business-to-business networking and connections among entrepreneurs and other members of Chester County’s business community.
The panel will feature Laura Manion, president and CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry; Ashley Pierce, president of the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce; Darlene L. Jenkins Walls, senior manager of entrepreneurial outreach and support for the Chester County Economic Development Council; and John Ralston, a certified mentor with Delaware Valley SCORE.
Together, the participating organizations offer resources spanning business development, networking, economic development and entrepreneurial mentoring, giving attendees an opportunity to learn about multiple sources of assistance in a single setting.
