COATESVILLE, PA — Chester County families can connect with local organizations, explore services for children, and enjoy an afternoon of free activities when the 2026 Family Resource Fair comes to Coatesville on Oct. 8.
The free event at the Gordon Early Literacy Center will bring community organizations and service providers together in one location, giving families an opportunity to learn about programs designed to support children at home, in school, and throughout the community.
Families with children up to age 13 are invited to attend. Along with information about available programs and services, the afternoon will feature games, family-friendly activities, giveaways, and free backpacks while supplies last.
“We are excited to bring families together with organizations that provide valuable support, services, and opportunities for children,” Tamara Acuna, assistant director of Student Services for the Chester County Intermediate Unit, stated. “This event is a great way for families to learn about the many resources available in our community while enjoying a fun afternoon together.”
The Chester County Intermediate Unit is offering the fair, which is hosted by Head Start, Early Head Start, Preschool Special Education and the Early Learning Resource Center.
