DOWNINGTOWN, PA — The 2025 Chester County College Fair will be held Monday, October 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at United Sports in Downingtown, offering high school students and their families the opportunity to connect with more than 160 colleges and universities from across the country.
Sponsored by CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services and organized by the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), the free event is open to all high school students and their parents or guardians. The fair will feature representatives from institutions ranging from large universities to small liberal arts colleges, providing information on admissions, academic programs, financial aid, and campus life.
A special pre-event session will again be offered for learners with special needs and their families. During this hour-long program, representatives from colleges that provide specialized support and accommodations will share resources and answer questions.
“We’re excited to bring together such a diverse range of institutions to support students in their postsecondary planning,” said Jay Della Ragione, special events coordinator for the CCIU. “Whether you’re just starting to think about college or ready to make your final decision, this event offers valuable insights and resources.”
This year’s fair will again be powered by StriveScan, a digital platform that simplifies information sharing between students and colleges. Registered attendees receive a barcode to present at each booth, allowing representatives to scan and collect their contact details instantly. The following day, students receive a customized report summarizing all the colleges they visited, helping them follow up and compare options more easily.
To manage attendance and traffic flow, families are encouraged to arrive according to the following schedule:
- Last names A–M: 6:00 p.m.
- Last names N–Z: 7:00 p.m.
The CCIU extended thanks to Robert Miller, Fire Police Captain for the West Bradford Fire Company, and his staff for assisting with event logistics and safety. Herr’s and Wegmans are also recognized for providing food donations for vendors.
With hundreds of participating schools and a focus on accessibility and convenience, the Chester County College Fair remains one of the region’s premier events for college exploration.
Students are encouraged to register in advance at www.strivefair.com/chester. Questions can be directed to CollegeFair@cciu.org.
