MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Drivers using U.S. 422 through Limerick and Upper Providence townships should expect overnight delays next week as PennDOT continues resurfacing work along a 4.4-mile stretch of the highway.

A lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between Royersford Road and Troutman Road from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
Westbound drivers will face a separate lane closure between Troutman Road and Royersford Road from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.
PennDOT said backups and delays are expected. Drivers should plan extra time, remain alert through the work zone and consider alternate routes when possible. The schedule is weather dependent.
The restrictions are part of a $6.2 million pavement preservation project covering 4.4 miles of U.S. 422. Work includes milling, a new bituminous overlay, pavement markings, edge-line rumble strips, and base repairs where needed.
Allan Myers Inc. of Worcester is the general contractor. The project is financed entirely with state funds.
