MALVERN, PA — HMP Global announced it has acquired Psychiatry Redefined, an educational platform founded by psychiatrist James Greenblatt, MD, that trains clinicians to address the root causes of mental health conditions through functional, nutritional, and integrative approaches.
The move strengthens HMP Global’s psychiatry and behavioral health portfolio, uniting traditional psychopharmacology education with broader science-based strategies designed to equip clinicians with more personalized treatment tools.
“This acquisition isn’t incremental—it’s a turning point,” said Jeff Hennessy, Chairman and CEO of HMP Global. “We’re bringing the strengths of traditional medicine together with functional and nutritional psychiatry to make whole-patient care the norm.”
Greenblatt, who will continue as Chief Medical Officer of Psychiatry Redefined, emphasized the expanded reach: “By joining HMP Global, we can train more clinicians with science-backed tools and education that clinicians are not obtaining during medical training – to transform more lives.”
HMP Global’s portfolio now includes Psychiatry Redefined alongside established brands such as Psych Congress, the Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI), and the Evolution of Psychotherapy. Collectively, these platforms reach thousands of clinicians each year with education on psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, behavioral health policy, and addiction treatment.
Randy Robbin, President of HMP Education, said the acquisition broadens the company’s mission. “The addition of Psychiatry Redefined allows us to focus more deeply on education that reflects the complexity of human health. Together, we will apply this transformative education across our portfolio, so more clinicians can deliver individualized care and ultimately, better outcomes.”
With Psychiatry Redefined now under its umbrella, HMP Global aims to scale whole-patient psychiatric education worldwide, supporting a shift from symptom suppression toward lasting, personalized care.
