WILMINGTON, DE — Progresso Technology has introduced Guardely, a mobile-first safety app designed to provide real-time, location-based alerts that go beyond traditional crime data. With its new Danger Zone Alerts, Guardely notifies users instantly when they approach an area with recent criminal activity or a registered sex offender’s residence.
Unlike government databases and static crime charts that reflect historical incidents, Guardely delivers immediate, actionable insights. The app pulls from offender registries, law enforcement data, and local crime feeds, ensuring alerts reflect current risks rather than outdated trends.
“Our goal with Guardely is to put actionable safety information in the hands of everyday people,” said Crusthy Calague, Product Outreach Manager. “A bar graph showing burglary rates from 2019 isn’t useful when you’re walking down the street in 2025. Guardely makes it possible to know what’s happening now.”
The app is already gaining traction among commuters, parents, travelers, and college students. Features include safe route planning, neighborhood safety checks, and discreet alerts that balance urgency with practicality. Notifications are limited to one per offender or incident cluster, reducing alert fatigue while keeping users informed.
Guardely’s design emphasizes daily usability, helping people make safer choices in routine situations such as choosing a playground, walking home at night, or booking a hotel in an unfamiliar area. The company is promoting adoption through partnerships with schools, community groups, and safety advocates.
“Static statistics are like looking in the rear-view mirror. Danger Zone Alerts are like a GPS that warns you about traffic ahead,” Calague said. “It’s about turning awareness into empowerment.”
By shifting personal safety tools from reactive to proactive, Guardely aims to establish a culture of vigilance and make real-time safety awareness as common as checking the weather before leaving home.
