PHILADELPHIA, PA — Overnight milling and paving will take place next week on southbound Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced.
From Tuesday, September 2, through Friday, September 5, lane closures will be in effect between the Academy Road and Cottman Avenue interchanges from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night.
PennDOT warned motorists to expect backups and delays in the work zone and urged drivers to allow extra travel time. All operations are weather dependent.
The project is part of the recently completed I-95 Section CP3, which rebuilt 1.4 miles of the highway, including bridges and adjoining surface streets, between the Cottman Avenue and Bridge Street interchanges.
