OAKS, PA — SEI® (NASDAQ: SEIC) has named Robert Hum, CAIA, as Head of Investment Product Development and Activation, a newly created role within its Asset Management business. Reporting to Michael Lane, Head of SEI Asset Management, Hum will be responsible for shaping the firm’s investment product strategy, with an emphasis on enhancing portfolio outcomes for current clients and driving growth in new markets.
Hum joins SEI with 15 years of experience in asset management. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and U.S. Head of Factor, Outcome and Alternative ETFs at BlackRock, where he led product innovation, distribution, and strategy. His earlier career included portfolio management at Ladenburg Thalmann, where he oversaw more than $2 billion in global multi-asset portfolios, and an associate role at VanEck Global supporting mutual fund and ETF distribution.
To support this initiative, SEI has also appointed Heather Corkery, CFA, as Director of Investment Product Development and Activation. Corkery, a 20-year veteran of SEI, transitions from her previous position as Managing Director of Client Service in the Institutional business. She will focus on product activation strategies, including go-to-market planning and optimizing client experience.
Michael Lane said Hum’s expertise positions SEI to strengthen its offerings across institutional and advisor markets. “Bob’s diverse experience across segments and expertise in ETF construction and implementation will help us enhance our investment products and model allocations and continue to push for broader access to private markets,” Lane noted.
Hum emphasized SEI’s competitive edge in combining asset management with technology and operations. “SEI’s breadth of capabilities is unmatched, and their client-centric approach creates opportunities to fiercely compete in a rapidly evolving landscape,” he said.
Hum holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and business with a certificate in financial policy and analysis from Lafayette College. Corkery earned a bachelor’s degree in integrated business and engineering from Lehigh University and is a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia.
The appointments highlight SEI’s strategy to expand its product development capabilities while reinforcing its position as a provider of diversified investment solutions.
