Business News

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Angeion Group has appointed Lenny Izzo to lead its Donlin Recano corporate bankruptcy division, placing a veteran legal services executive in charge of expanding the company’s restructuring administration business as it prioritizes growth in that market.

Izzo became managing director of corporate bankruptcy on October 5, assuming responsibility for Donlin Recano’s growth strategy, client relationships and commercial performance, according to the Philadelphia-based legal notice and administration services provider.

The appointment puts an executive with more than two decades of experience in legal information, compliance and technology-enabled services at the head of a business serving corporate debtors and their legal advisers.

Angeion identified corporate bankruptcy administration as a significant growth opportunity, with Izzo tasked with strengthening the division’s commercial operations and expanding its client base.

“Corporate bankruptcy is one of Angeion’s most important growth opportunities, and Lenny is the right leader to grow it,” Chief Executive Officer Bill Carter said.

Izzo joins Angeion from LRN, a provider of corporate compliance and ethics programs, where he served as chief revenue officer and subsequently interim co-chief executive officer.

During his tenure, he oversaw changes to LRN’s commercial operations as the company expanded and earned recognition on the Inc. 5000 list of fast-growing businesses.

His previous positions include leadership roles at LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters and ALM, three established providers of legal information and professional services.

As president of ALM’s Legal Media Division, Izzo oversaw publications and digital properties including The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, The New York Law Journal and Law.com.

He also served as chief revenue officer at Watermark, an education technology company.

At Donlin Recano, Izzo will oversee commercial strategy for a business specializing in corporate bankruptcy administration, drawing on Angeion’s broader legal services operations.

“Debtors and their counsel are navigating more complexity than ever, and they need an administrator that is responsive, precise, and easy to work with,” Izzo said.

“My focus is on building on that foundation and continuing to grow the business.”

He previously served as a captain in the U.S. Army Armor Corps, with assignments in Germany, Bosnia and Kuwait.
