Pipe Replacement to Close Two Roads in Chester County

Traffic alert, expect delays

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that upcoming pipe replacement work will require closures on two state highways in Chester County later this month.

On Thursday, August 21, Little Conestoga Road will be closed from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM between Styer Road and Milford Road in Wallace and Upper Uwchlan townships. A posted detour will guide motorists along Styer Road, Greenridge Road, Font Road, and Milford Road.

In a separate project, Lenape Unionville Road will be closed weekdays from Wednesday, August 27, through Friday, September 5, between Locust Grove Road and Northbrook Road/Red Lion Road in East Marlborough and Pocopson townships. Daily closures will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with detours directing traffic along Locust Grove Road, Route 52 (Lenape Road), Route 926 (Street Road), Doe Run Road, and Northbrook Road/Red Lion Road.

PennDOT advises drivers to allow extra travel time, as delays are expected in both work zones. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
