WILMINGTON, DEWSFS Bank has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to Wilmington, announcing a renewed long-term lease for its headquarters at 500 Delaware Avenue and plans for a significant renovation of its office space. The update is aimed at enhancing collaboration and positioning the bank for continued growth in the years ahead.

The headquarters, known as the WSFS Bank Center, has served as the company’s central office since it was built in 2006 by the Buccini Pollin Group (BPG). WSFS currently occupies more than 74,000 square feet of the building—roughly 80% of the tower’s total space—with nearly 300 employees based there.

“WSFS was established more than 190 years ago to serve Wilmington and the surrounding areas – the city has always been home,” said Rodger Levenson, WSFS Chairman, President, and CEO. “We’re looking forward to continuing our legacy here and offering an upgraded office space for our Associates that’ll help us continue to be an employer of choice in the city for many more years to come.”

The renovation aligns with broader efforts to modernize the workplace and improve the experience for tenants. BPG has already introduced new amenities at the WSFS Bank Center, including a 24/7 fitness facility, a clubroom with a grab-and-go market, and a fully equipped conferencing center. In 2024, the building welcomed The BlueBird Café, expanding on-site dining and catering options.

Chris Buccini, President of BPG, praised WSFS for its enduring presence in the community, saying, “WSFS is a bedrock in our business community and their continued commitment to anchor Wilmington’s only trophy office tower and commanding rooftop signage is further testament to their leadership.”
