Atlantic City Man Jailed After Alleged Prostitution Operation Uncovered at Wilmington Spa

WILMINGTON, DE — A New Jersey man has been arrested and charged following a multi-agency investigation into alleged prostitution at a massage spa in Wilmington, authorities announced this week.

According to the New Castle County Division of Police, 66-year-old Edward Yazbeck of Atlantic City was taken into custody on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, after detectives concluded a two-month investigation in coordination with the Delaware Department of Justice’s Human Trafficking Unit.

Investigators identified Yazbeck as the owner of JJ Massage Therapy Spa, located at 4 Garden of Eden Road in Wilmington. The inquiry, which began in May 2025, revealed that multiple clients allegedly received massages from female workers who then offered illicit sexual acts in exchange for money.

Following these findings, authorities referred the case to the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation for further review regarding the business’s licensure. The female workers located inside the spa were not charged but were referred to the New Castle County Police Department’s Victim Services Unit, which offers assistance to individuals impacted by human trafficking and related exploitation.

Yazbeck was transported to New Castle County Police headquarters, where he was formally charged with the following offenses:

  • One felony count of Promoting Prostitution in the Second Degree
  • One misdemeanor count of Criminal Nuisance
  • One misdemeanor count of Operating an Unlicensed Massage Establishment

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $13,000 cash bail.

As with all criminal cases, it is important to note that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation remains ongoing.
