HARRISBURG, PA — A Centre County man has been sentenced to 15 to 30 years in state prison for his involvement in a major State College-based drug trafficking organization, Attorney General Dave Sunday announced.
Larry Brickhouse, 51, of State College, was sentenced after being found guilty by a jury of possession with intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl and cocaine, conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver, and criminal use of a communication facility.
According to trial evidence, Brickhouse worked closely with network leader Larry David, trafficking heroin/fentanyl and cocaine from New Jersey to State College. From there, the drugs were distributed throughout State College and surrounding communities. Brickhouse played a dual role, assisting in transporting narcotics and selling them from David’s residence.
“This defendant was a key player in a large-scale trafficking network that brought poisons to Commonwealth communities,” said Attorney General Sunday. “I applaud the investigators involved in taking down this ring, and thank the jurors for their diligence in reaching a just verdict that ultimately closed this toxic pipeline.”
In total, 14 individuals were charged in connection with the operation. Ten have already pleaded guilty and been sentenced, four await trial, and David is now deceased.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General David C. Gorman of the Drug Strike Force Section.
