MIDDLETOWN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced nighttime lane closures next week on northbound U.S. 1 in Middletown Township, Bucks County. The closures are part of a $37.4 million initiative to address high-priority repairs on interstate bridges across the Philadelphia region.
From Monday, June 16, through Friday, June 20, single-lane closures will be implemented from 9:00 PM to midnight, followed by double-lane closures from midnight until 5:00 AM. These closures will allow crews to perform overhead bridge repair work on U.S. 1 beneath Interstate 295.
PennDOT has advised motorists traveling through the repair zone to anticipate delays and plan accordingly, as backups are expected during the overnight hours. All operations are contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution and remain alert while navigating the work zone.
