NORRISTOWN, PA — The Norristown Municipal Waste Authority has announced upcoming sewer repair work on Markley Street (U.S. 202 North) in Norristown, Montgomery County. The repairs will necessitate overnight closures and detours in early April, impacting local traffic.
From Wednesday, April 2, to Friday, April 4, Markley Street will be closed and detoured at the intersection with Main Street. Closures will occur nightly from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning. During these times, traffic will be redirected to Dekalb Pike, Dekalb Street, and Johnson Highway to bypass the work area.
Local access will remain available up to the work zone. Motorists traveling in the area should anticipate delays and are encouraged to plan extra time for their commutes. All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be subject to adjustments.
