LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming bridge and roadway construction on eastbound U.S. 422 as part of an $83.6 million project aimed at improving safety and infrastructure in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

The extensive project will reconstruct and enhance approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road. Construction activities next week will include lane closures from Monday, March 24, through Friday, March 28, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Specifically, lane closures will occur on two segments of eastbound U.S. 422. The first closure, between Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) and Route 29, will accommodate the installation of camera poles. The second closure, stretching between Armand Hammer Boulevard and Evergreen Road, will facilitate drainage construction.

Motorists traveling through these areas should plan for potential delays and are urged to allow extra time for their commutes. PennDOT has emphasized that all scheduled activities are dependent on favorable weather conditions.
