Beth Alfonsi Appointed as Chief of Staff for Independence Mission Schools

Seasoned education executive now leading operations for Philadelphia-Area Catholic school network

PHILADELPHIA, PA —Independence Mission Schools (IMS) has appointed Beth Alfonsi as Chief of Staff. With her extensive experience in education, Alfonsi will play a critical part in serving and supporting the 14 schools in the IMS network.  In her role, Beth is responsible for managing the Operations, Finance and Accounting, and HR functions of the organization.

“IMS has a proven track record of making a difference in the lives of thousands of students, and I am thrilled to be part of an organization so deeply committed to educational equality and excellence,” said Alfonsi. “I look forward to working alongside the talented team at IMS to continue expanding opportunities and creating positive change for our students and communities.”

Most recently, Beth served as the Executive Director of Advancement at Malvern Preparatory School where she successfully generated 85% of the school’s $20M budget annually. She also restructured and rebuilt the Development, Enrollment Management, Marketing, and Communications departments to enhance their overall effectiveness.

Beth holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Temple University and a master’s in strategic leadership from Neumann University.
