U.S. 422 Work Zone Could Back Up Traffic in Both Directions

CHESTER/MONTGOMERY COUNTIES, PA — Lane closures will impact both directions of U.S. 422 next week, as roadway reconstruction continues between key interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry townships.

PennDOT said lane closures will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Hanover Street interchanges during the morning and early afternoon hours.

On eastbound U.S. 422, lane closures will occur between the Hanover Street and Sanatoga interchanges later in the day, extending into the evening commute.

Drivers should plan extra time, expect delays, and consider alternate routes when traveling through the corridor during peak daytime hours.

The work is part of an $83.6 million project to reconstruct more than two miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
