WALLACE TWP, PA — Drivers in Chester County should prepare for a week of daytime road closures as PennDOT crews perform base repair work on Route 282 (Creek Road) and Fairview Road in Wallace Township.

According to PennDOT, Route 282 (Creek Road) will be closed between Fairview Road and Springton Road from Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Fairview Road, Indiantown Road, and Springton Road.
Once work on Creek Road is completed, crews will shift to Fairview Road. From Wednesday, June 24, through Friday, June 26, Fairview Road will be closed between Little Conestoga Road and Route 282 (Creek Road).
Drivers traveling through that area will be directed to use Little Conestoga Road, Route 82 (Manor Road), and Route 282 (Creek Road).
Local access will be maintained throughout both projects, but motorists should expect delays and increased traffic along detour routes. Plan extra time for travel and seek alternate routes when possible, particularly during morning and afternoon travel periods.
The repairs are intended to address roadway base conditions and improve the long-term durability of both corridors.
All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions warrant.
