Traffic Backups and Delays Expected Due to Base Repair in Chester County

WEST MARLBOROUGH TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that base repair work will cause traffic disruptions on Newark Road in West Marlborough Township, Chester County.

Starting Monday, July 22, through Wednesday, July 23, Newark Road will be closed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Route 926 (Street Road) and Route 842 (Upland Road). This closure is necessary for the planned base repair.

Motorists will be detoured via Route 926 (Street Road), Route 82 (Unionville Road/Doe Run Road), and Route 842 (Upland Road). Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

Drivers should expect traffic backups and delays while traveling near the area. PennDOT advises allowing extra travel time. The schedule is weather dependent.
