WEST GOSHEN TWP, PA — PennDOT’s ongoing efforts to replace the superstructure of the Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) bridge over U.S. 322 (West Chester Bypass) in West Goshen Township, Chester County, will lead to overnight closures impacting motorists. From Monday, June 3, through Thursday, June 6, between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM the following morning, U.S. 322 (West Chester Bypass) will be shut down in both directions between Phoenixville Pike and New Street.

During this closure, drivers are rerouted through designated alternative routes, with westbound motorists directed to utilize specific interchanges and streets, while eastbound travelers are guided along a different path. These changes aim to mitigate disruptions and ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction period.

As construction progresses, drivers are cautioned to anticipate congestion and delays near the affected area. Given the nature of the work, potential backups are expected, necessitating extra travel time and patience from commuters. Weather conditions play a pivotal role in the scheduling of these activities, emphasizing the need for flexibility and preparedness for possible interruptions in the coming week.
