PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing and pavement repair operations will take place next week across multiple highways in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties as part of an ongoing effort to restore over 200 miles of roadway throughout the region.
In Philadelphia, motorists can expect lane closures on Chestnut, Walnut, Oregon, and Penn Square (City Hall) from Monday, November 10, through Friday, November 14. Work will occur during both daytime and overnight hours for line painting and pavement maintenance.
In Bucks County, weekday lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled along sections of U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) and Knights Road in Bensalem Township for pavement repair. In Chester County, night work will take place on Hanover Street at Krepps Lane in North Coventry Township. Meanwhile, in Delaware County, lane closures are planned on Beatty Road in Nether Providence and Springfield townships, as well as on Township Line Road through Trainer Borough, Chester, and Upper Chichester Township.
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible, as backups and delays are expected. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These resurfacing projects aim to provide safer, smoother rides and extend the lifespan of key regional roadways through milling, paving, and new asphalt applications.
