Road Work Ahead: Upcoming Construction Activities on State Highways in Bucks, Chester, Montgomery Counties

GREATER PHILADELPHIA —The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that various construction activities are scheduled on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Bucks County

  • Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Highland Avenue between Avenue F and Hulmeville Road in Middletown Township for saw cutting.

Chester County

  • Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Hostetter Road and Troop Road in West Fallowfield Township for pipe replacement.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Upper Ridge Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Route 63 (Main Street) in Marlborough Township for pipe replacement;
  • Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Beidler Road between Vandenburg Road and Caley Road in Upper Merion Township for guiderail replacement; and
  • Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Allentown Road between Reinert Road and Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township for road restoration.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
