Road Closure Alert: Kennett Square Borough Utility Improvement to Temporarily Shut Down Route 82 in Chester County

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Square Borough is scheduled to perform utility improvements on Route 82 (South Street) in Kennett Square Borough, Chester County.

On Thursday, October 19, through Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 82 (South Street) will be closed weekdays between Broad Street and Walnut Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Birch Street, Broad Street, Route 82 (South Street), Taylor Street, Chestnut Street, and Hornblende Avenue.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Kennett Square Borough will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
