SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced resurfacing operations on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. This is part of multiple ongoing projects aimed at repairing and paving over 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Starting from Monday, November 13, motorists should prepare for daytime travel restrictions in the following areas:
In Chester County,
- Harmonyville Road will have a lane closure between two Harmonyville Road bridges (Bridge key 47319 and Bridge key 42830) over Pine Creek in Warwick Township for milling and paving. This will occur from Monday, November 13, through Thursday, November 16, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
- A similar closure will take place on Harmonyville Road between the Berks County line and Route 345 (Pine Swamp Road) in Warwick Township.
In Delaware County,
- Haverford Road will have a lane closure between Winchester Road/Karakung Road and the Delaware County line in Haverford Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving from Monday, November 13, through Friday, November 17, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
- Ridge Road will also see a lane closure between the Delaware State line and Baker Street in Trainer Borough and Lower Chichester Township for paving.
- Sugartown Road will have a lane closure between Valley Forge Road and the Chester County line in Radnor Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving, starting Tuesday, November 14, through Friday, November 17, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
In Montgomery County,
- Upper Ridge Road will have a lane closure between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and the Bucks County line in Green Lane Borough and Marlborough Township for milling and paving from Monday, November 13, through Friday, November 17, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas as slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
During these resurfacing and improvement projects are part of PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement to seal roadways.
